What
began as a chilly start turned into a beautiful day of flying for members
and guests of our 9th Annual Fall Flyin. We had 30 pilots from as far
away as Roanoke Rapids and quite a few spectators.
It was a joy for me to CD and MC the event. ALL the photos on this page are thumbnails. Click on a thumbnail to see a larger version and then click on BACK in your browser to get back here. Enjoy. David |
I was the first to arrive and found the field looking
as if it had snowed. The morning frost quickly burned away and made
way for a nice day of flying.
|
|
As can been seen here, the field was in excellent
shape and except for a light breeze that kept the chill in the air it
could not have been a nicer day.

Check out the sky!

The impound was in good hands. No frequency mishaps.

Keith Grubbs, owner of the Hobby House in New Bern,
not only helped with prizes he seemed to enjoy cheffing for us to.

I'm sorry. The grill looked so good I took two
shots.

And the eating wasn't bad either.
